MELISSA PULCINI-BUTTINE, P.A.-C., C.N.S.

Melissa Pulcini-Buttine graduated from Touro University’s Physician Assistant Program in 2003, earning Valedictorian and Magna Cum Laude. After graduating, Melissa worked in New York City for a world-class vein treatment practice specializing in all areas of vein treatment. Additionally, Melissa has held positions in Primary Care, Allergy, and Immunology all while continuing to act as a Professor of Anatomy and Physiology at several local universities.

Over the years Melissa has come to realize the greater importance of nutrition and preventive medicine in treating her patients. This appreciation moved her to complete a Masters of Science in Nutrition at the University of Bridgeport, graduating top of her class in 2016. After many hours of internship specializing in nutrition, she achieved the Certified Nutrition Specialist designation, the gold standard credential for advanced nutrition professionals. Additionally, Melissa holds an advanced certification in IV vitamin therapies with a focus on maintaining health, preventing disease and anti-aging.

JAMES BONHEUR, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Board certified in General Surgery and fellowship trained in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery, Dr. Bonheur brings the highest standards of medical excellence to procedures that cure disease, improve quality of life, and enhance appearance. His technical skill and sound judgment combined with his friendly demeanor have earned him a reputation for providing patients with exceptional health care.

Dr. Bonheur earned his medical degree from SABA University in 1998. His extensive training includes research and clinical positions affiliated with some of the world’s greatest medical institutions including Harvard University, Boston University, Columbia University, and the New York College of Medicine.

During a sabbatical from his clinical training, Dr. Bonheur completed a Vascular Research Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital along with a Surgical Research Fellowship at the Boston Medical Center. His work there focused on vein-disease and culminated in the publication of his work in several prestigious medical journals and numerous presentations at national conferences including the National Institute of Health (NIH) and the American College of Surgeons Clinical Conference. Upon completing his research fellowships, he returned to his native Connecticut where he continued his General Surgery training at the Stamford Hospital, serving as a Chief Resident in General Surgery prior to his graduation in 2006. During this time, Dr. Bonheur had become interested in emerging technologies in surgery and decided to pursue advanced training in minimally invasive surgery. He completed a fellowship in Laparo-endoscopic and Bariatric Surgery at the Danbury Hospital in 2007.

MEDICAL RECORDS

There is $20 charge for copies of all medical records. Copies must be requested in advance.

CANCELLATIONS

Cancellations of appointments must be given with at least 24hrs noticed or a $50 fee may be applied for missed appointments or cancellations less than 24 hrs in advance.

PATIENT RESPONSIBILITY

  • It is the patient’s responsibility to read and understand all permits and/or consents he/she signs. If the patient does not understand, it is the patient’s responsibility to ask the doctor or office staff for clarification.
  • It is the patient’s responsibility to answer all medical questions truthfully to the best of his/her knowledge.
  • It is the patient’s responsibility to contact our office if he/she has any complications following any procedure.
  • It is the patient’s responsibility to assure payments for services rendered are on a timely basis accepting ultimate responsibility as his/hers, regardless of whatever insurance coverage he/she may have.
